ARCADIA, Wis. – Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC (Ashley) proudly hosted its ninth annual Wreaths Across America ceremony at Soldiers Walk Memorial Park in Arcadia, WI on December 14. As one of over 4,600 participating locations nationwide, the premier war memorial park outside of Washington, D.C. joined in the tribute to honor and remember our veterans and active service members. The Arcadia community gathered to lay wreaths at each war memorial, with participation from Ashley employees, State Representative Warren Petryk, Ticker-Erickson American Legion Post 17, Boy Scout Troop 64, local veterans, active service members and their families.
At each Wreaths Across America ceremony, volunteers carefully place live balsam wreaths at each memorial as a gesture of respect. This meaningful tradition, supported by individual and organizational sponsorships, creates tangible memorials that honor veterans, active-duty military personnel, and their families. Each service member’s name is spoken aloud during the placement of wreaths, ensuring that their legacy endures.
“It is my distinct honor and privilege to be asked to share a few thoughts today as we remember the wonderful young men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom of people here in The United States of America,” State Representative Warren Petryk. “As Chairman of the Wisconsin Assembly Committee on Veterans from 2012-2014, and still today a member of the Committee, I am grateful to be a strong advocate for helping our Wisconsin Veterans who served our Nation.”
Ahead of Wreaths Across America Day, Ashley Distribution Services (ADS) joined the parade of trucks known as the ‘Honor Fleet’ in delivering wreaths to participating cemeteries across the east coast of the U.S. Since 2017, ADS trucks and trailers have hauled 52 loads of more than 233,000 wreaths to over 280 cemeteries, demonstrating Ashley’s continued commitment to this meaningful cause.
