DALLAS, Texas – In a heartfelt initiative to address child welfare needs across Texas, Hope to Dream, Dufresne Spencer Group (DSG), For Others and Harvest Family Life Ministries have partnered to donate 150 beds to children in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas. The impactful collaboration aims to ensure that more children sleep soundly and securely, fostering environments where they can thrive.
“By providing beds, we’re not just offering comfort, but stability and the opportunity for families to stay together,” explained Jared Brown, Executive VP of Strategic Partnerships, For Others. “This collaboration is about pooling our resources and expertise to create a lasting impact. This isn't just about physical items; it's about restoring dignity, hope, and a sense of security to families who are struggling.”
“This donation reflects our shared commitment to community welfare and our unwavering dedication to making a tangible difference in the lives of children,” said Bishop Blake, Executive Director, Harvest Family Life Ministries. “We are so thankful for the support from DSG, For Others and Hope to Dream for making this possible.”
Through Hope to Dream, children in need are provided with a brand-new bed, complete with a mattress, bedding, and a pillow. The organization's mission is to create positive, long-lasting effects on children's lives by offering them a better night's sleep and the opportunity to thrive. A portion of every mattress purchased at participating Ashley stores helps Hope to Dream achieve their mission.
DSG, an Ashley licensee, has been a significant community steward through its “Purchase with Purpose” program, which benefits Hope to Dream, For Others, Love One and OneWorld Health. Since 2022, DSG’s “Purchase with Purpose” program has donated over $3,000,000 to its partners, reinforcing the mission to make life moments matter to children and their families who need it most.
As one of the beneficiaries of “Purchase with Purpose”, For Others is committed to ending the child welfare crisis in America one state at a time. According to For Others, inadequate sleeping arrangements are one of the reasons children being removed from their families. Child services cannot permit children to remain in homes without proper sleeping arrangements, making this initiative vital for family unity and child safety.
As a partner of DSG and For Others, Harvest Family Life Ministries works tirelessly to defend, care for, and support abused, abandoned and neglected children within the community. Through various programs, they engage, equip, and empower local churches to extend this critical mission.
Together, these organizations are breaking down family stability barriers, ensuring that more children can stay with their families in secure and loving homes. This initiative serves as a reminder of what can be achieved through collective efforts and a shared vision for a brighter, more compassionate future for all children.
