Hope to Dream Partners with Beds for Kids to Provide 200 New Beds to Children in Need

CHARLOTTE, N.C. Hope to Dream, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing beds to children in need, is proud to announce the donation of 200 beds to Beds for Kids. Beds for Kids is a Charlotte-based furniture bank that helps children and their families in need by providing essential furniture, including beds. By providing beds and essential furniture, Hope to Dream and Beds for Kids believe that they can improve the quality of life for these families and give children a comfortable place to rest and grow.

Through the Hope to Dream organization, children in need are provided with a brand-new bed, complete with a mattress, bedding, and a pillow. The organization's mission is to create positive, long-lasting effects on children's lives by offering them a better night's sleep and the opportunity to thrive. A portion of every mattress purchased at participating Ashley stores helps Hope to Dream provide beds to children in need. Broad River Retail, a licensee of Ashley, has been a partner of Beds for Kids since its inception in 2010.

"Beds for Kids is an organization that holds a special place in our hearts," said Charlie Malouf, President and CEO of Broad River Retail. "Broad River Retail has been a dedicated partner to Beds for Kids, a cornerstone nonprofit in Mecklenburg County and the Charlotte area, from the very beginning. We believe in their mission and witness the real-world impact they have every day."

"We are thrilled to partner with Beds for Kids and make this significant donation," said Ben Thorud, President of Hope to Dream. "At Hope to Dream, we believe that every child deserves a good night's sleep and a chance to thrive. By working together with Beds for Kids, we can make a tangible impact on the lives of children in our community."

The mission of Beds for Kids is to provide beds and essential furniture to children and their families in need. Since 2011, Beds for Kids has delivered over 22,000 beds and served over 7,200 families in the Charlotte area.

"We are incredibly thankful for the support of Hope to Dream. This generous donation of 200 beds will profoundly impact the lives of children and families in need,” stated Lauren Evans, Executive Director of Beds for Kids. It goes beyond providing a good night's sleep; it offers hope and the opportunity to create a safe and comfortable home environment. Together, we are making a difference in our community."
