Ashley and the Ronald & Joyce Wanek Foundation Open Doors to Opportunity for the Next Generation through 2026-2027 Scholarships
ARCADIA, Wis. – Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC (Ashley) and the Ronald & Joyce Wanek Foundation, Inc. (the Foundation) are proud to announce the awarding of $444,000 in educational scholarships to 151 students for the 2026-2027 academic year. The annual distribution of scholarships reflects Ashley and the Foundation’s continued commitment to supporting educational achievement and developing the talent pipeline.
The Ashley Grants-in-Aid scholarship program will help 85 students pursue their educational goals for the 2026-2027 academic year. The awarded scholarships will provide $170,000 in financial support to high school seniors who are dependents of Ashley employees and students that are currently employed by Ashley.
In addition, the Foundation is awarding $274,000 in scholarships to support the academic pursuits of 66 students dedicated to innovation and excellence. Across select states, these scholarships support students pursuing degrees in Automation, Engineering, Information Technology, Manufacturing, Design and other disciplines.
“I have been with Ashley for many years, and throughout that time I have always appreciated the generosity and thoughtfulness of the Wanek family,” stated Sarah Hulett, Ashley Employee. “I am incredibly grateful that my son was selected to receive a scholarship as he begins his college journey. Like many families, we know that pursuing higher education comes with significant expenses, so this support will make a meaningful difference. More importantly, it is an investment in his future, and for that our family is truly thankful.”
Together, these investments will help students pursue their academic goals across the country. Scholarship recipients were invited to participate in a special scholarship presentation and explore Ashley’s facilities, providing them with firsthand exposure to advanced manufacturing, innovative technology and career opportunities within the home furnishings industry.
Scholarships are a small part of Ashley’s broader commitment to advancing educational opportunities for K-12 and post-secondary students. Ashley and the Foundation are proud to support students’ success and help strengthen the pipeline of future talent through a variety of strategic partnerships, scholarships and educational programs.
Since the program’s inception in 1997, $4.2 million has been invested in helping over 2,500 students pursue their educational goals and prepare for successful futures. Through continued support of K-12 and post-secondary education initiatives, Ashley remains committed to empowering students, strengthening communities and developing the talent needed to drive future innovation.
