Wilmington, NC – Ashley today announced it has partnered with Eden Village to donate over $30,000 worth of unused furniture and decor from the HGTV® Smart Home 2022, located in Wilmington, North Carolina, to local homes. This donation will furnish Eden Village’s development of a 31-unit tiny home community for low-income and chronically homeless individuals, estimated to be completed by November 2022. Ashley is a presenting sponsor of the HGTV Smart Home 2022, providing all furniture for the home, which is available at local Ashley stores and online at Ashley.com.
Eden Village started their housing efforts in 2018 and successfully completed their first tiny-home community in Springfield, Missouri, before extending the project concept to Wilmington, North Carolina, in 2020. Eden Village is a program that provides dignified housing and supportive communities to homeless, disabled, and low-income individuals. These communities not only provide permanent housing opportunities for these individuals but also offer support services and community interaction events to assure personal success and healthy living moving forward.

Eden Village is a 31 – unit tiny home community specifically designed to provide life-long, permanent homes for chronically homeless individuals in Wilmington, North Carolina. As of today, there are about 100 chronically homeless citizens here locally. Eden Village aims to set realistic and attainable goals to make the biggest, most long lasting impact across our beautiful community of Wilmington. Some of the residents of Eden Village will include patients of a nearby hospital and are battling chronic illness. Most are treatable if not curable, but require consistent living conditions to improve treatment results. The residents of Eden Village have been chosen specifically to ensure their personal success as well as the success of the community and all of its residents. Each resident will have assigned roles and be required to follow certain rules and regulations to keep them on track for a healthy, productive life.
