Jacksonville, IL – On Wednesday, January 24, Ashley HomeStore celebrated the grand opening of a new location in Jacksonville, Ill. The new store, located in Jacksonville’s Lincoln Square Shopping Center at 901 W. Morton, opened on January 15th. Licensee owners, employees and local dignitaries attended the Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting event.
Barry Seidman and Scott Nation are the owners and licensees of the new store. Seidman is the third generation of ownership of Barney’s Furniture in Springfield and has been the owner of the Springfield Ashley HomeStore since it opened in 2007. Nation has been a manager with the Seidman family stores for 16 years, currently serving as the COO over all three stores. The Jacksonville store represents his first ownership stake.
The new Jacksonville Ashley HomeStore is managed by Jacksonville resident Dan Darnell. According to Darnell, The response we’ve had so far to the new store has been great! We’re very excited to be a part of the Jacksonville business community.
In addition to the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Barry Seidman announced a $1,000 donation to the New Directions Warming/Cooling Center in Jacksonville. According to Seidman, This is our way of saying 'thanks' for the incredible support we’ve had so far from the Jacksonville area. We’re now a part of the community and we feel it’s important to give back where we can. Helping New Directions continue their work in the Jacksonville area seemed like a great way to do that.
